Gas safety records. As a Gas Safe Registered Engineer you will know that landlords have duties under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 to maintain all pipework, appliances and flues, that they own and have provided for their tenants use. The record of the safety check has to be given to each existing tenant, and the Landlords/Homeowners Gas Safety Record must include the:

  • description and location of each appliance and/or flue checked
  • name, registration number and signature of the engineer who carried out the check
  • date on which the appliance and/or flue was checked
  • the address of the property at which the appliance and/or flue is installed
  • the name and address of the landlord (or his agent where appropriate)
  • any defect identified and any action required or taken to fix it, and
  • confirmation of the results of operational safety checks carried out on the appliances.

At HVP Supplies we have Landlords/Homeowners Records available in a pad of 25 A4 forms. These records are in triplicate and are produced for private and rented accomodation, but they can also be used for caravan inspections. The forms comply with the Gas Safety Regulations and are simple to complete, and cost from as little as £3.80.
